Job Summary

An Insurance Agent or Broker is responsible for helping individuals and businesses select appropriate insurance policies to protect their assets health and financial well-being. The role involves assessing clients needs explaining coverage options recommending suitable policies and maintaining long-term client relationships while ensuring compliance with insurance regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet with clients to assess their insurance needs and financial goals.
  • Explain different types of insurance policies including life health property and casualty insurance.
  • Recommend suitable insurance coverage based on clients risk profile and budget.
  • Prepare quotes policy applications and insurance documentation.
  • Assist clients in completing insurance applications and required paperwork.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with clients and provide policy updates or renewals.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional insurance products.
  • Support clients during the claims process and coordinate with claims adjusters.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations insurance products and market trends.
  • Maintain accurate client records and sales reports.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or bachelors degree in business finance or a related field (preferred).
  • Valid insurance license required according to local regulations.
  • Previous experience in sales customer service or financial services is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain complex insurance policies clearly.
