Regulatory Operations function within EC&O supporting regulatory compliance through innovation automation and cross-functional collaboration. The team partners closely with business areas to uplift regulatory capability embed effective controls and support consistent highquality regulatory outcomes.
Your responsibilities
Provide specialist financial crime and geopolitical risk expertise across ASX Group including insights and assessment of jurisdictions counterparties and other exposures
Conduct sanctionsfocused financial crime risk assessments and reviews incorporating geopolitical developments regulatory guidance and enforcement trends
Support the development implementation and ongoing operation of ASXs sanctions policies procedures and operating model within Regulatory Operations
Provide oversight and challenge of sanctions screening due diligence and escalation processes to ensure they are effective proportionate and defensible
Analyse sanctions alerts incidents and control weaknesses and support remediation uplift and continuous improvement initiatives
Advise business units on sanctions obligations geopolitical risk impacts and emerging regulatory requirements in a practical and riskbased manner
Support regulatory engagement internal reporting and executivelevel updates relating to sanctions and geopolitical risk
Must have
Demonstrated experience in sanctions and financial crime compliance or related risk roles within a regulated financial services or government environment
Strong working knowledge of sanctions regimes and geopolitical risk drivers including practical application of sanctions screening and due diligence
Experience conducting sanctions or geopolitical risk assessments and translating analysis into policy process and/or control improvements
Experience working with financial crime or sanctions frameworks policies procedures and supporting technology solutions
Tertiary qualification in law international relations finance risk compliance or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Nice to have
Experience supporting regulatory engagement audits or executivelevel reporting relating to financial crime risk
Experience working in or supporting legal regulatory and/or compliance teams relating to financial crime
Exposure to in depth geopolitical risk analysis scenario planning or crisis preparedness in a highly regulated environment
