Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have strong business and product sense combined with a solid understanding of technical concepts. You can operate independently think strategically analyze data influence others and provide strong customer service support. High judgment analytical talent and exceptional communications are essential to success in this role.
Key job responsibilities
Develop and execute location-driven selection strategies using competitor benchmarking capacity inputs sales analysis and market data to inform market-specific selection across WWGS grocery banners
Drive automation and leverage AI Tools to simplify processes and improve operational efficiency
Set strategy and communicate requirements for multi-metric ranking models that evaluate items based on mission-driven criteria ensuring each product earns its place through demonstrable customer value
Set strategy and communicate requirements for competitive intelligence frameworks to benchmark against regional markets while identifying opportunities for differentiation
Create SOP and mechanisms to track manage and optimize regional-specific selection
Partner with Category Product Tech and BI teams to implement and enhance selection strategy tools
Track optimize and report to senior leadership on selection workflow improvements and automation
- 5 years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelors degree or 5 years of professional or military experience in process improvement business analysis or program management
- Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with Microsoft Access or SQL
- Proven track record designing and implementing process automation solutions using AI/ML tools to drive operational efficiency
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex cross-functional projects with significant business impact
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to influence without authority
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Retail industry experience specifically in the space of selection strategy
- Grocery retail industry experience
- SQL proficiency and experience with data visualization tools (Tableau QuickSight) or business intelligence platforms
- Background in retail grocery or e-commerce operations
- Experience partnering with technical teams on communicating requirements for tool development and Agile methodologies
- Experience with selection strategy category management or space planning
- Track record delivering scalable solutions that drive operational efficiency across multiple teams

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
