Job Summary
Job Summary:
The Extrusion Maintenance Trainee must assist maintenance and electrical personnel as they perform their regular job duties.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- To learn the BCF extrusion process including all mechanical and technical systems and processes.
- To learn the electrical systems and processes involved in the fiber extrusion process.
- Schedule may vary due to training needs demands within the department or special projects as assigned by management.
- Ability to work other shifts for extended periods as determined by training needs and schedule.
- Follow all plant and Extrusion safety rules.
Performance Expectations (if applicable):
- Lifting reaching standing stooping and bending is required throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift 150 lbs.
- Must be able to use scissors a wrap stick wrenches and other hand tools.
- Must be able to distinguish colors and shades.
Experience/Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous Extrusion experience preferred.
- Previous maintenance experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Overtime required with little or no advance notice.
- All accidents must be reported immediately.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
