Locally this role sits at the heart of the NZ business working closely with leadership while staying aligned to the wider ANZ strategy.
This is not your typical HR role. We are looking for someone who understands how a business runs is comfortable in an operational environment and can genuinely influence outcomes.
This role is ideally three days per week. However for the right person looking for a full time opportunity this can be extended to five days with the additional time focused on supporting talent acquisition across the wider ANZ business.
The role
You will be the go to HR lead for New Zealand partnering closely with leaders across the business. You will bring the ANZ HR strategy to life locally while making sure it actually works on the ground in a fast paced industrial environment.
This is a hands on role where you will be involved in both the strategic and day to day.
You will be responsible for:
- Partnering with leaders to drive performance capability and workforce planning
- Leading and supporting change initiatives across the business
- Managing ER matters end to end including disciplinaries investigations performance and restructures
- Overseeing recruitment and onboarding across NZ
- Driving engagement culture and communication
- Owning performance cycles remuneration reviews and HR reporting
- Supporting a blue collar operational workforce with real world challenges and pace
