Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
TeHerenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Pūkenga - Lecturer in the Masters of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) to join Te Kura Waihanga - School of Architecture team on a 6-month fixed-term part-time (0.5 FTE) contract.
Key responsibilities:
- Core teaching and responsibilities include teaching into PLAN 411 Urban Planning Design and PLAN 590 Planning Research Project.
- Support for the MURP programme generally through student liaison and assistance with MURP.
- Contribute to MURP activities such as marketing and connection with professional practice.

You will be a motivated student focused individual who can take the initiative and provide excellent teaching.
Key requirements:
- Demonstrate someexpertisein teaching and practice have experience in the diverse roles of Urban and Regional Planning and be confident in design or design-related teaching.
- Understand the degree content and curriculum structure of our professionaldegree andshow strong promise of planning practice.
- Have existing or emerging research capabilities as a part of their portfolio of skills and capabilities although candidates may be transferring from advanced professional practice to an academic career.
- While a PhD is not essential demonstrated commitment to pursuing PhD study is important.
