Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Lead Software Developer with a strong background in Business Intelligence to join our team. You will lead the design development and implementation of both software applications and BI solutions ensuring high-quality performance scalability and security. You will guide a team of developers and act as the technical authority for Power BI development creating intuitive dashboards to drive strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Lead the design and development of complex scalable software systems and BI reporting solutions.
- BI Development: Design develop and maintain advanced Power BI reports dashboards and visualizations to provide actionable insights.
- Data Modeling & DAX: Create robust data models and complex Data Analysis Expression (DAX) measures to support analytical needs.
- Database & Integration: Explore large datasets perform data modeling and integrate Power BI with relational databases APIs and cloud platforms.
- Mentorship & Quality Assurance: Mentor team members and ensure adherence to best practices in coding and data visualization.
- Governance & Security: Implement row-level security (RLS) manage workspace security and ensure compliance with data governance standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical requirements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of software development experience.
- 3 years of specialized experience in Power BI development including DAX and data modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
- Strong experience in data visualization best practices and data storytelling.
- Proven leadership experience (e.g. team lead tech lead).
Preferred Qualifications
- AI (e.g. VS Code and Copilot)
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g. Tableau SSRS).
- Experience with Python for data analysis.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and data warehousing technologies.
- Knowledge of Power BI Service administration including gateway configuration.
