AECOM is seeking a Highway Design Civil Engineering Intern to be based in Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania.
This position is expected to begin in June 2026.
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
- Internships are designed to introduce and build essential hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
- Assist in the design of roadway geometry traffic control as well as signing and pavement markings.
- Provide utility coordination support.
- Assist in Computer Aided Design production
- Assist in quantities and cost estimates
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Must have 2 years of completed study.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Capable of using spreadsheet word processing and standard Microsoft Office software.
- MicroStation and/or Autodesk familiarity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate effective time management task prioritization and strong interpersonal skills.
