The Opportunity
Abuja represents one of Nigerias most strategic healthcare markets with a diverse mix of government hospitals specialist centres embassy clinics military hospitals and premium private healthcare providers.
The Medical Sales Representative will play a key role in driving market penetration building strong client relationships and contributing to revenue growth within the FCT territory.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets within the assigned Abuja territory
Conduct a minimum of 45 facility visits daily to hospitals diagnostic centres and clinics
Identify and prioritise high-value healthcare facilities across Tier-1 (major hospitals) Tier-2 (specialist clinics) and Tier-3 (community clinics)
Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting product presentations quotations negotiations closing and payment follow-up
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline (minimum 3x monthly revenue target)
Develop and maintain strong relationships with procurement officers medical directors and healthcare administrators
Submit accurate daily and weekly sales activity reports
Capture and update facility data (contacts needs assessment equipment inventory) into the CRM system
Support territory growth initiatives and mentor junior sales representatives where required
Requirements
Must-Have
35 years of B2B field sales experience in medical equipment diagnostics or healthcare products
Must be based in Abuja FCT with strong knowledge of the local healthcare landscape
Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
Experience mentoring or supporting junior sales team members
Existing professional relationships with hospitals specialist centres or procurement offices in Abuja
Strong communication and negotiation skills with ability to engage stakeholders from clinic owners to senior medical executives
Smartphone and reliable internet access for digital reporting
Nice-to-Have
Experience working with government hospitals and public procurement processes
Educational background in biomedical sciences pharmacy nursing or related healthcare discipline
Experience using CRM tools and territory management software
