Job Summary
Requirements:
- Ability to explain complex systems clearly and concisely.
- Comfortable writing for technical audiences including developers engineers and technical buyers.
- Understanding of documentation best practices including task-based documentation conceptual overviews reference materials and API documentation structure.
- Awareness of how documentation scales as products evolve.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly by asking good questions and exploring independently.
- Ability to use LLMs to accelerate research and drafting while retaining editorial voice and personal judgment.
- Ability to learn new topics independently and proactively identify gaps in documentation.
- Comfortable critiquing content including work from engineers and marketing teams and suggesting improvements in clarity structure and logic.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the success of the companys documentation site.
- Ownership of all aspects of documentation including information architecture and tooling.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand new features and translate them into accurate and useful documentation.
- Ask precise and clarifying questions to uncover edge cases and implicit assumptions.
- Ensure documentation reflects how the product actually works not just how it was intended to work.
- Maintain high standards for clarity consistency and technical correctness.
- Write and edit technical marketing content.
- Write and edit technical blog posts.
- Collaborate with marketing and engineering teams to produce clear technical content.
- Improve existing content with a critical and analytical approach.
- Ensure external-facing content is accurate clear and aligned with product reality.
