Introduction A leading multi-strategy investment firm is seeking a Senior Vice President (SVP) of Treasury & Credit. This is a high-impact leadership role sitting at the intersection of the firms investment desks and its financing partners. The SVP is responsible for managing the firms multi-billion dollar liquidity profile optimizing financing costs and managing complex credit relationships across a global portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Financing Strategy: Design and execute the firms global financing strategy including Negotiating Prime Brokerage (PB) agreements ISDA/CSA terms and Repo facilities.
- Liquidity & Cash Management: Oversee global daily cash positioning ensuring optimal funding for all trading strategies while maintaining robust liquidity buffers.
- Counterparty Credit Risk: Lead the monitoring and management of credit exposure to the firms banking partners and clearinghouses.
- Margin & Collateral Optimization: Develop frameworks to optimize collateral usage and minimize margin requirements across various asset classes (Equities Credit Macro).
- Strategic Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for senior relationship managers at Tier-1 investment banks.
- Treasury Technology: Drive the implementation of advanced Treasury Management Systems (TMS) to automate workflows and provide real-time visibility into the firms Golden Source of cash data.
Requirements
- 8-15 years of experience in a senior Treasury or Credit role specifically within a Hedge Fund Asset Manager or Prime Brokerage unit.
- Deep Product Knowledge: Expert understanding of financing products including TRS (Total Return Swaps) Repo and cleared/uncleared derivatives.
- Negotiation Prowess: Proven ability to negotiate legal and commercial terms with global financial institutions.
- Academic Background: Bachelors degree in a quantitative or financial field; MBA or CFA is highly preferred.
- Leadership Presence: Experience managing high-performing teams and presenting to C-suite executives/Investment Committees.
