Summary

This role will report to the Development Support Manager of Mercury controllers and will support our OEM partners in technical support onboarding and training cultivating our business relationships.

As our Development Support Engineer Access Control youll support HIDs successby:

  • Developing a deep understanding of how customers use our access control controller products and leveraging that information with new and existing customers.
  • Providing high-end product support knowledge to HIDs technology partners.
  • Onboarding and guiding new partners to utilize HID access control solutions
  • Providing email phone and chat support with strong writing skills an excellent phone manner and tracking issues using the Jira service desk system.
  • Acting as a point of escalation for customer issues providing technical assistance related to functional or product feature issues.
  • Administering the partner portal including knowledge base articles FAQs documentation and other content.
  • Collaborating with engineering and other team members to escalate and resolve issues as needed.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of all product offerings and technical support procedures to provide accurate solutions to customers.
  • Collaborating with other departments by sharing knowledge gained from working directly with customers.

YourExperienceand Background include:

  • Bachelors Degree with a technical focus preferred.
  • 5 years of technical support experience
  • Experience with access control is a plus
  • Proven experience in problem-solving and critical thinking combined with excellent communication skills is required
  • Ability to comprehend and make decisions by analyzing data and reviewing technical documentation is required
  • Experience in a security related field such as Physical Access Control Identity Access Management Cybersecurity Biometric Security Cloud Security is a huge plus
  • Experience with the operation and connectivity of networking devices (i.e. hubs/routers/switches) is a plus
  • Proficiency in creating and updating support documentation including knowledge base articles base articles FAQs and troubleshooting guides

Language Skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
