Multimedia Development Officer/Multimedia Development Assistant (at the rank of Senior Technical Officer/Technical Officer) in the Faculty of Dentistry(Ref.: 534979)
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Multimedia Development Officer/ Multimedia Development Assistant (at the rank of Senior Technical Officer/Technical Officer) to join the Faculty of Dentistry.
The Role
The appointee will play a key role in planning producing and delivering high-quality multimedia outputs. Key responsibilities include:
- Producing educational and publicity multimedia contents such as videos photos infographics motion graphics and promotional materials for digital social and print media;
- Managing the full multimedia production process including storyboarding filming photo shooting subtitling and post-production editing;
- Coordinating closely with Faculty staff members on video and photo production and overseeing production schedules;
- Creating engaging multimedia contents for Facultys social media platforms;
- Providing visual and audio support for Facultys events conferences meetings and promotions which may require occasional work outside office areas and regular office hours;
- Designing visually appealing and responsive websites; and
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Qualities
- A Bachelors degree or equivalent in Creative Media Multimedia Filming and Photography Visual Communications or related disciplines; with at least 7 years of professional work experience in multimedia production;
- Expertise and hands-on experience in video and photo editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro After Effects Final Cut Pro Lightroom) design tools (e.g. Adobe Photoshop Illustrator InDesign) and generative AI tools;
- Ability to support all stages of video production including studio maintenance and equipment management;
- A robust portfolio demonstrating strong design and branding sense visual storytelling and multimedia production skills;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines;
- Creative self-motivated and able to work independently and manage multiple priorities;
- Strong organisational communication and problem-solving skills; and
- Excellent knowledge of social media platform trends and operations (e.g. Facebook Instagram LinkedIn YouTube WeChat and Xiaohongshu); previous in-house social media account management experience is a plus.
Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Technical Officer.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on a fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years and commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
