Job Summary
Graphic DesignInternship
Marbles Kids Museum is a vibrant nonprofit childrens museum and IMAX Theatrelocatedin the heart of downtown Raleigh. Marbles has been sparking imagination discovery and learning through play since opening its doors in a diverse population of families school groups and community organizations through award-winning play-based exhibits summer camps IMAX documentaries feature movies andspecial eventsyear-round. The Opportunity
Are you a creative thinker with a passion for visual storytelling and brand design JoinTeam Marblesas a Graphic Design Intern and help bring the magic of play to life through compelling visuals.
The Graphic Design Intern will support the creation of engaging print and digital assets that promote Marbles exhibits programs events andmission. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced collaborative nonprofit environment allowing the intern to strengthen design skills build a professional portfolio and gain real-world experience supporting a mission-driven organization.This is an unpaid internship.
Job Responsibilities
Create engaging designs that adhere to the Marbles brand identity and guidelines.
Collaborate with theGraphicsTeamand other departmentstosupport the creation oforiginal designsthatshowcaseMarblesbrand and mission.
Support the Graphics Teamon internal graphic requests and projects.
Assistwith the installation of graphics and signage fabrication as part of exhibits events and programming.
Attend andparticipateinGraphicTeam meetings.
Ideal Experience and Skills
Mustbe enrolled in a formal education class that requires an internship for academic credit.
Excellent creative verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop is required.
Experience workingwithCreative Cloud Product preferred.
Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design or a closely related field.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Role requires walking standing stooping and bending.
Schedule
Availability to work weekdays between 9:00 AM 5:00 PM with a commitment of at least 10 hours per week.
