Role: Air Vehicle Design Engineer
Location: Wichita KS (Onsite)
Visa: USC/GC
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Incorporate new design and design improvements utilizing CATIA software with an emphasis on component integration 3D modeling and drafting
3D model development in support of detail assembly and installation layouts
Communicate and coordinate with technical disciplines such as Manufacturing Tooling Structural Integrity Aerodynamics and AES.
Peer drawing checking and the release of engineering documents as well as day-to-day collaboration to meet company and customer requirements
Support prototype aircraft assembly which includes coordination with engineering to support design interpretation and occasionally investigate and respond to questions from Manufacturing Operations
Conducts research calculations estimates and drafting of projects to conform with established specifications such as capacities styling performance and determine status of work in progress. Performs above work utilizing frequent application of in-depth engineering principles.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
Professional and diplomatic demeanor
Strong sense of accountability and integrity
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of 2D & 3D design concepts
Proficient in Microsoft Office and 3DX CATIA V5/V6 and Enovia
Bachelors Degree in : Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
