Job Summary

At the NSW Department of Education we educate and inspire lifelong learners from early childhood through schooling to vocational education and training.

  • Ongoing Full-Time employment opportunity
  • Located in Parramatta with office attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and flexible working arrangements
  • Salary ranges from $129464 to $142665 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

The role leads the review development and delivery of Group Training Organisation apprenticeship and traineeship programs procedures and systems in consultation with stakeholders. It contributes to the delivery of support programs and services for apprentices and trainees employers Registered Training Organisations Apprenticeship Network Providers staff and other key stakeholders. The role also drives continuous operational improvement and ensures effective program continuity practices.

Key accountabilities

  • Lead projects and manage program administration to achieve results.
  • Develop and review policies and procedures to align programs with Government priorities and industry needs.
  • Supervise staff and resources to deliver high-quality customer service.
  • Liaise with government agencies employers businesses and other stakeholders to promote apprenticeships and traineeships.
  • Maintain provider records monitor performance and support strong program outcomes.

About you

Essential requirements of the role

  • Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
  • Hold a valid NSW driver licence.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regionally
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
