Senior Estimator

BESIX Watpac are looking for a Senior Estimator to join our South Australia team compiling tenders and cost plans for major projects and pursuits across a diverse range of sectors.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

• Contribute to the Estimating team by preparing accurate cost plans and tenders ensuring all resources costs and methodologies are thoroughly considered.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging construction techniques products and their associated costs.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers subcontractors consultants clients and relevant authorities to support business objectives.
• Prepare and negotiate tenders across multiple contract forms using industry software to present clear and concise estimates.
• Source and analyse cost data from suppliers subcontractors and completed projects to monitor project costs and recommend cost alternatives.

Qualifications :

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

• Degree in a relevant discipline together with demonstrated experience in cost planning/estimating.
• Clear understanding of industry construction techniques and proficient and proven skills in industry software.
• Ability to communicate influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the external and internal business environment.
• Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative sound reasoning listening and decision making skills.
