Ko tōu ake mahi - What youll do
As the Group Manager Clinical and Science Advisory youll sit at the centre of the Ministrys clinical and science capability within the Strategy and Policy Group- connecting expert advice evidence and insight to shape strategy strengthen policy and support high-quality decision-making across the health system. Working closely with the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Science Advisor youll lead a high-trust portfolio spanning the Chief Clinical Officers (nursing allied health and maternity) clinical advisors the Health Science team and the Ministrys library services - helping ensure clinical and scientific input is strong coherent and influential across the Ministry and sector.
You will work closely with the Chief Science Advisor to establish effective relationships and work programmes relating to health research priorities and the broader science system. You will also work closely with the Chief Clinical Officers and key agencies and institutions in relation to the systems for clinical governance and quality and safety as well as leading key programmes of work on clinical issues where the Ministry is a convenor as lead advisor to the Ministers of Health.
