Job Description Summary

Working with and reporting to the Managing Director Government Relations the Legislative Analyst Government Relations supports the companys government and public affairs strategy with a focus on aviation policy and long-term priorities such as 2050 sustainability objectives digital innovation and additive manufacturing. The role conducts policy research tracks legislative and regulatory developments and prepares concise reports and briefings for senior leaders. It also drives outreach campaigns by engaging key stakeholders organizing meetings and events and ensuring effective follow-up while representing the company at relevant industry and policy forums. Strong writing analytical skills and an ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced business environment are essential.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with research preparing (draft) reports and briefings for team members and senior executives;
  • Assisting with outreach campaigns: identifying targets organize and prepare meetings monitor follow up actions;
  • Assisting in the development of government affairs strategies and tactics;
  • Monitoring of relevant information sources and reporting on key developments;
  • Meeting & event organization logistics and follow-up;
  • Proactively networking through attending relevant events;
  • Assisting in broader public affairs campaigns;
  • Thought leadership on long term Aviation topics like 2050 sustainability objectives digital additive manufacturing

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Political Science Economics or Engineering
  • Minimum 2 year of professional experience in government relations or with a Member of Congress.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Knowledge of the policymaking process and its main policies
  • Previous experience or affinity with the aviation industry
  • Motivated to work in a business environment
  • Excellent writing research and analytical skills
  • Initiative and creativity when it comes to problem-solving
  • Dynamic and capable of structuring and managing her/his work independently
  • Solid office skills (Excel PowerPoint)
  • Some experience working in a government institution trade association or other representative office is an asset
