As the site HSE Professional you will join an experienced team of construction industry professionals toprovide project governance and implementation for Quality Safety and Environment (QSE) whilst providing visible leadership for site construction activities.

Not only will you be collaborating on projects with internal stakeholders but also liaising with external subcontractors to ensure they adhere to all Vestas QSE standards. This is an excellent opportunity to use your knowledge and gain further experience in all aspects of the construction phase of our wind farm delivery process.

Location: Queensland Victoria & WA

Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective project HSE support

  • Provide effective project construction leadership and support in all HSE matters

  • Ensure compliance of HSE systems and processes at the project site.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory legislation for Workplace Health Safety and Environment (WHSE)

  • Coordinate and conduct inspections

  • Provide project leadership team HSE reports as requested

  • Ensure compliance with HSE training within the project

  • Implement project HSE documentation

  • Develop and maintain a professional relationship with contractors clients and other stakeholders

  • Ensure all work carried out complies with Vestas Health Safety and Environment requirements in accordance with Vestas policies goals and targets

  • Develop and assist in coordination for Project HSE Delivery plan and initiatives

  • Ensure project HSE targets and goals are met

  • Disseminate HSE-related information to project personnel

Qualifications:

  • Diploma /Cert IV OHS/WHS

  • A current white card or equivalent for the construction industry is mandatory

  • Wind experience is advantageous

Competencies:

  • Previous experience as an HSE professional in a wind farm project or major construction project

  • Understanding and implementation of HSE management systems and certification process (ISOAS4801)

  • Skilled interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills

  • Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Communicate effectively with both the contractor and Vestas construction teams

  • A professional commitment to Safety Environment and Quality

  • Creative time management skills

  • High-level understanding of HSE information and supervising effective responses
