Employment type: Fixed-term contract full-time (35 hours per week)

Remuneration: Broadband 6/7. Level 6 from $103866 Level 7 from $113926 plus leave loading & 17% super.

LAUNCH is UNSW Canberras innovation hub that supports research partners in the defence and security sector. Launch aims to bridge industry academia and government by fostering collaboration and innovation. Launch is central to the new UNSW Canberra City campus and the future defence and security precinct driving research commercialisation.

Accountabilities:

This is a fresh and exciting role which entails providing project management reporting and analytical support developing communications building key internal and external relationships developing and consulting on key programs and projects. The Senior Project Officer will support projects to drive initiatives and will establish and maintain productive working relationships across UNSW Canberra City.

Who You Are (skills and experience):

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience with a proven track record delivering outcomes in complex fast-paced environments
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills with the ability to produce high-quality evidence-based reports and influence decision-making
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships negotiate and influence at all levels
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver projects end-to-end including planning documentation and alignment to strategic objectives
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure using sound judgement
  • Demonstrated capability to identify needs drive initiatives and lead project processes to achieve impactful outcomes
  • Advanced digital proficiency across Microsoft 365 and project platforms (e.g. SharePoint Smartsheet) including system use and administration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy continuous improvement and delivering high-quality results
