Georgia State University Department of Testing is searching for an outstanding candidate to fill the role of Assistant Director Testing. This position is based at the Dunwoody Campus.
This position supervises all activities for three campuses and reports to the Director of Testing. Coordinates activities on their campuses of supervision as well as directly responsible for the consistent delivery of testing services that are professional prompt convenient and delivered in a manner that reflects good customer service on their home campus. The Director established the testing calendar for their home campus and assists their reports with building calendars for their campus. The Assistant Director is responsible for orienting and training staff evaluating the testing staff performance and promoting on-going staff development. This position maintains the centers testing records produces monthly annual and other reports as requested and supports their reports in same for their respective campus of supervision. Using data from all campuses of supervision the AD will analyze departmental operating procedure and implement changes to improve operations as appropriate. This position is responsible for the receipt security and return of highly confidential test records and files. This position ensures that students have equity of access to testing services and coordinates with staff and the director the maintenance of seamless delivery of testing services across the College.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Supervises staff and testing services at 3 campus; acts as Testing Coordinator for campus they are housed at
Maintains a secure testing environment and ensures staff does the same to maintain vendor requirements
Coordinates with vendors regarding issues with exams
Data retention in conjunction with staff and based on state and/or vendor requirements
Trains staff in proper proctoring customer service and data retention
Uses data on campuses to analyze testing events and develop strategies for future testing or identify areas where testing services can improve
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of Testing services of proctoring and security standards
Customer services knowledge and ability to address needs of students while maintaining vendor standards for security
Ability to create reports and analyze data to review the effectiveness of test offerings at the campuses supervised
Ability to troubleshoot technology issues and work with GSU IT and exam vendors
Ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders in exams (examinees parents vendors officials from other schools)
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 3 years of related experience or a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
Candidate must meet Prometrics requirements for the Test Center Administrator Certification of Authorization which includes but is not limited to the successful completion of Prometrics Computer Based Testing Certification exam in addition to meeting Prometric IRS background check requirements. National Board and State certification requirement.
Knowledge of the Georgia State University (GSU) campus
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
