This position is responsible for the ownership monitoring and ongoing enhancement of Volvo Car USAs used car wholesale pricing algorithm and adjustment matrix used to price vehicles within our remarketing platform. The role partners closely with the Remarketing and Finance teams of Volvo Car USA to develop and execute data-driven pricing strategies for remarketing used vehicles. This position also supports the preparation and presentation of the monthly residual value reporting package.
Monitor and validate the accuracy of wholesale market pricing algorithm and pricing adjustments within the remarketing platform to mitigate residual value losses.
Partner closely with Remarketing team to drive optimal price realization for returned lease and rental vehicles communicate motive and analysis behind pricing updates and incorporate organizational expert judgement into pricing management.
Conduct analytical reviews to develop enhancements to pricing algorithm to increase accuracy and transparency.
Help manage iteration sales strategy and pricing to engage dealers maximize prices and retain vehicles within Volvos retailer network.
Collaborate with external vendor to implement algorithm and pricing matrix revisions and verify functionality and performance.
Optimize and calibrate pricing model variables across sales regions vehicle models model years powertrains and options packages.
Assist with remarketing platform performance tracking and reporting.
Perform ad-hoc analysis to maximize returned lease and rental vehicle values directly contributing to financial performance.
Monitor the integrity and consistency of internal residual value metrics and external used vehicle sales data.
Support the development and enhancement of the monthly residual value reporting package.
Education
Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Mathematics Statistics Data Analytics or a related field required.
Experience
3 years of in-depth analytical experience required.
Experience with relational database querying a plus.
Financial and/or statistical modeling experience a plus.
Strong interest or experience in the automotive industry preferred.
Skills
Strong analytical and quantitative skillset.
Proficiency working with large complex datasets.
Solid financial and/or business acumen.
Ability to translate analytical findings into clear actionable recommendations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; broader Microsoft Office experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present insights to senior management.
Salary Range
