Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki is a rural Iwi-based not-for-profit Hauora Māori organisation that has been providing medical health and wellbeing and community services across the Hauraki rohe and to the people of Hauraki since 1994. We aim to be a leading indigenous hauora provider and to serve our whānau by delivering high-quality whānau-centred kaupapa Māori led services that meet the health and wellbeing needs of our people throughout the communities we represent.
Kōrero mō te tūranga About the role:
We are seeking an experienced values driven Service Manager to lead the day-to-day service delivery obligations of Ohu Hinengaro as the Mental Health & Addiction Services arm of Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki.
Reporting to Manukura Hauora (CEO) Poukura Hinengaro will provide strategic operational and financial oversight whilst fostering strong stakeholder relationships supporting professional development and overseeing performance and risk management. Your leadership will ensure our services remain culturally grounded and ensure all contractual outcomes and deliverables are met for the organisation.
This role is based in Thames but will work across the Hauraki rohe (Thames-Coromandel and Hauraki district council areas plus components of Matamata-Piako district council). You are a highly capable and strategic Service Manager with senior leadership experience aligned with Te Ao Māori values strong operational expertise and a proven track record in the health or social services sector. You lead with clarity confidence and cultural competence driving organisational performance and high-quality outcomes for whānau.
Key capabilities were looking for:
- Demonstrated people leadership including developing coaching and aligning staff across both kaupapa Māori and mainstream environments
- Strong understanding of kaupapa Māori tikanga Te Reo Māori (or commitment to ongoing learning)
- Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting and financial planning
- Innovation led approach to improving systems and processes
- Applies evidence-based decision making to turn data into practical operational action
- Proven project management capability with reliable delivery against deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build trust
- Strong knowledge of sector regulations compliance requirements and service delivery standards
- Relevant tertiary qualification in health or business management.
