WHO YOULL WORK WITH

You will join the North America Nike Sportswear (NA NSW) Womens Merchandising teaman expert consumerobsessed function that shapes the womens apparel offense across the marketplace. As a Lead Merchant you will work closely with fellow merchants and cross-functional teams within Global and Geo Merchandising Planning Allocation and Brand Marketing. You will also work with Finance Operations and the Insights/Analytics teams; relying on business reporting for your area which includes quantitative and qualitative metrics on sales inventory and consumer behaviors.

As a Lead Merchant you will be a critical member of the team leading the largest business for North America Womens Apparel. Both Sportswear and Womens Apparel are strategic priorities for North America and the Nike Brand. Success in this role requires curiosity passion merchandising excellence marketplace experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• 5 years of merchandising product creation or retail experience in vertical or wholesale environments
• Bachelors degree in merchandising business marketing or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education experience and training
• Footwear apparel and/or equipment merchandising experience
• Understanding of retail key performance indicators and profit based metrics
• Strong strategy building skills that shape the future of the business

WHAT YOULL WORK ON

As a Lead Merchant on the NA NSW Merchandising team youll utilize marketplace data consumer insights foresight and hindsight to make decisions influence and develop seasonal plans to serve our consumer. Youll provide qualitative and quantitative insights to the Product Creation teams the counterparts on Global Merchandising teams across Sports and gender constructs. Youll lead the management of our merchandising KPIs through robust analysis of retail insights and performance. Youll build positive and trustworthy relationships with your partners (including Marketplace Merchants Marketing Sales Consumer Planning GEL among others) to build and land assortments that meet the needs of consumers take them to a new place and differentiate the key points of distribution across key cities. Youll work with your cross-functional team to maintain the optimal balance between a pull and push market.
