At DHI we combine science data and software to help governments researchers and businesses understand and manage water environments more intelligently.
As we modernize our MIKE applications and strengthen our modelling platform for the next generation we are looking for two experienced software developers to join our team in Denmark. About the Role
As part of our development team you will play a key role in renewing modernizing and maintaining both user interfaces and backend functionality for our mathematical modelling systems. You will work closely with colleagues across disciplines and contribute directly to the next generation of MIKE technologies.
Your Responsibilities
- Design develop and modernize user interfaces and backend components for our modelling systems
- Implement new features write highquality code and contribute to automated test pipelines
- Perform unit tests and automated testing to ensure robustness and performance
- Document your work as an integrated part of the development process
- Collaborate closely with developers project managers product owners and domain specialists
- Provide technical guidance and support to other developers
- Take on lead developer responsibilities in selected developments
Your Qualifications
- Masters degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science Software Engineering or related fields
- Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience
- Strong skills in C# and the .NET ecosystem
- Experience with Avalonia Framework and/or WPF
- Experience with AI-guided development
- Experience with C
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Good English proficiency
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with scientific software or mathematical modelling
- Familiarity with optimization and parallelization of algorithms
- Experience with Microsoft and Linux technologies
- Experience estimating and budgeting development activities
- Curiosity open-mindedness and a desire to explore new technologies and domains
- Danish language skills
