Job Title: Classroom Teacher

Reports To: Principal

Term: 10 months

Special Education Teachers provide individualized instruction support and services to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique needs.
Adapt and modify general education curriculum to accommodate students with disabilities.
Provide direct instruction in small group and one-on-one settings.
Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with general education teachers support staff and parents to ensure student success.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with federal state and district special education regulations.
Implement behavioral management strategies and support students social-emotional growth.
Participate in IEP meetings professional development and team planning sessions.

Qualifications:

Required:bachelors degree
Certification:Valid Tennessee teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education.
Preferred:Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting.
