Summary
Manages the activities of Facilities/Utilities Engineering personnel assigned to various projects or systems. Leads key complex engineering program(s) and projects and/or strategic business process development and execution. May lead a matrix team to manage and execute one or more key weapon and/or reimbursable product/service programs. Ensures that integrated project management processes are aligned with industry best practices and are consistently applied across the business.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates with Senior Management and internal business partners to ensure program needs are understood and supported
- Makes business decisions and recommendation to Senior Management using technical expertise in manufacturing facility operations to include electrical systems HVAC cleanrooms and other specialized environments
- Coordinates manages and oversees contracted service provider to accomplish sites infrastructure standards to include electrical and mechanical systems building management systems lawn care snow removal and janitorial activities
- Coordinates the presentation of formal reports to DOE officials and KCNSC management on the status progress and completion of major projects as well as directly oversees contractors performing construction and interfaces with GSA Lease team performing operations and maintenance of the facility
- Requires independent action and decision-making with the ability to provide technical guidance project management consultative services and innovative solutions on highly complex Facilities/Utilities Engineering activities
- Plans implements budgets and maintains facilities maintenance programs to provide efficient and safe operations of the facility infrastructure
- Plans budgets and coordinates staffing requirements to accomplish priorities for facility maintenance activities
- Directs and facilitates divisional projects technical and/or operational efforts that include the application of sound management techniques to reduce costs and improve operations
- Forecasts manpower requirements determines priority of work and assigns resources to complete the task
You Must Have
- Must have a bachelors degree.
- Must have 7 years experience.
- Ability to travel as determined by the needs of the business.
- Ability to work remote hybrid or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
