POSITION: Camp 2030 Pre-Collegiate Camp Coordinator
LOCATION: 7350 Broadway Denver CO 80229 - District
PAY RANGE: Stipend $1381.80 (planning) plus 5 days per diem (camp event days)
(Per diem is the selected employees calculated daily rate.)
CALENDAR:
- Planning through Close-out: March 19 2026 - June 15 2026
- Time: As needed to meet all deadlines (outside of regular school hours)
- Camp Week (Staff On-Site): June 1 through 5 2026
- Daily Hours: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM (No time conflicts permitted during camp week)

GIFTED SUMMER CAMP OVERVIEW:
Camp 2030 Pre-Collegiate Camp is an in-person enrichment experience for 8th grade students who apply to participate. The coordinator will supervise camp teachers and support program operations in collaboration with district partners. The program serves approximately 75 students.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a current Mapleton Public Schools employee.
- Must have a current (active) Colorado teaching license.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:
The Camp 2030 Coordinator responsibilities include the following:
- Work with the CTE director to establish timelines schedules procedures and resources for the camp. Ensure alignment with district policies and secure required approvals.
- Support hiring and onboarding of four camp teachers.
- Facilitate curriculum co-planning sessions with teaching staff during April and May 2026.
- Coordinate a thematically linked field experience including transportation and sack lunches.
- Coordinate recruitment and registration materials for students and families (flyers brochures health forms etc.).
- Manage registration communications with families including timely enrollment confirmation.
- Collaborate with Transportation to secure student transportation. Provide the final student roster with addresses by noon on May 9 2026.
- Collaborate with Nutrition Services to secure breakfast and lunch service including field experience sack lunches.
- Collaborate with Communications to publicize and document Camp 2030.
- Coordinate distribution and collection of camp materials for staff and students.
- Coordinate ordering of supplies and materials with the CTE Director.
- Provide staff orientation and training (expectations curriculum overview procedures safety and supervision).
- Supervise daily camp operations to ensure a safe secure and high-quality experience for students and staff.
- Coordinate field trip staffing and chaperoning logistics.
- Coordinate close-out including clean-up and return of camp materials.
