Azure Cloud Developer Tempe AZ OR Atlanta GA (W2 Contract only)

• Lead the design and architecture of complex distributed systems 6 / Core and Azure-native services
• Serve as the technical point of contact for project stakeholders architects and engineering managers
• Lead and mentor mid and junior developers through code reviews pair programming and knowledge sharing
• Drive technical roadmap discussions and contribute to quarterly planning
• Own technical debt backlog and advocate for proactive resolution
• Lead sprint planning estimation and backlog grooming from a technical perspective
• Partner with DevOps QA Data and Security teams to ensure end-to-end delivery quality
• Provide technical guidance during pre-sales RFPs or client-facing engagements
• Lead incident response for critical production issues and own post-mortem and root cause analysis processes
• Champion a culture of reliability engineering and continuous improvement

• Define and enforce architecture patterns such as microservices event-driven CQRS and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Conduct architecture reviews and ensure solutions meet scalability reliability and security standards
• Develop high-performance production-grade APIs services and web applications using the Microsoft stack
• Establish and enforce coding standards design patterns and best practices across the team
• Drive adoption of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and ensure adequate unit integration and load test coverage
• Architect multi-region highly available solutions on Azure including AKS Azure Functions Service Bus Event Grid and API Management
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps with automated testing approvals and rollback strategies
• Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using Bicep Terraform or ARM templates
• Drive cloud cost optimization capacity planning and FinOps best practices
• Define and implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity strategies
• Design complex data models and optimize MS SQL Server / Azure SQL for performance at scale
• Architect and implement caching messaging and async processing layers using Redis Service Bus and Event Hubs
• Evaluate and introduce NoSQL options such as Cosmos DB where appropriate
• Own the security posture of applications including threat modeling secure SDLC and OWASP compliance
• Architect identity and access management solutions using Azure AD / Entra ID OAuth 2.0 RBAC and Managed Identities
• Define secrets management certificate rotation and network security policies
• Define observability standards including logging tracing and alerting using Azure Monitor and Application Insights
• Define and monitor SLAs SLOs and error budgets for owned services
• Collaborate with Product Owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Contribute to internal knowledge bases runbooks and developer onboarding documentation
