Objectives
To provide administrative and logistical support to Department of Nursing and Midwifery Sciences learning activities.
Responsibilities and Activities
Specifically the Intern - Training Administrative Assistant will provide administrative logistical support and back end support in Department of Nursing and Midwifery Sciences to ensure that the training and learning activities are implemented as planned.
Key Responsibilities: -
Key Areas & Key Activities:

- Drafting and implementing schedules for Department of Nursing and Midwifery Sciences
- Communication within AMIU with students and partners to ensure the school programmes are implemented as scheduled
- Compiling of progress reports for all Department of Nursing and Midwifery Sciences programmes
- Keeping records and monitoring students placements
- Follow up continuing students to ensure completion and graduation is within the expected timelines
- Proper documentation of Department of Nursing and Midwifery Sciences files
- Facilitation of RRFs contracts for part-time lecturers
2. Information Management
- Use a variety of software packages such as Microsoft Word Outlook PowerPoint Excel Access etc. to produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations records spreadsheets and databases
- Ensure all training data is inputted into AMIU ERP
- Organize and store paperwork documents and computer-based information
- Draft various reports and keep records of all final reports for the training unit as needed
3. Financial administration
- Liaise with finance and raise invoices for continuing Department of Nursing and Midwifery Sciences students follow up on fee payment receipting and update of student records
- Liaise with finance and follow up payment for supervisors and examiners
- Ensure supervisors payment are raised as per Department of Nursing and Midwifery Sciences policy
- Raise requests in the ERP system.
4. Marketing recruitment and enrollment
- Identify marketing avenues/opportunities and approaches for the graduate programmes
- Market graduate programmes using various approaches to realize results in enrollment
- Liaise with admissions department and follow up on admitted students to realize enrollment targets
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business administration or a social science from a recognized institution of higher learning
- At least two (2) years experience in similar or related training programmes administration
- Evidence of previous experience in an office administrative responsibility will be an added advantage
- Proficiency in computer applications and responding to emails
- Knowledge of health landscape in an added advantage
