Job Summary

Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canadas only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 890000 barrels of petroleum products each day through a dual pipeline system of more than 1150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta British Columbia and Washington state.

Trans Mountain also operates a state-of-the-art loading facility Westridge Marine Terminal with three berths providing tidewater access to global markets.

As a federal Crown corporation Trans Mountain continues to build on more than 70 years of experience delivering operational and safety excellence through our crude oil pipeline system.

With our expanded pipeline system now in place Trans Mountain provides enhanced direct access for Canadian crude oil to world markets. The expansion realizes a world-class system for oil transport developed to Canadas high standards within one of the most stringent regulatory regimes in the world creating long-term economic benefits enhanced marine protection enhanced safety and emergency management capabilities and enhanced skilled-worker capacity building in communities and Indigenous groups.

Trans Mountain is seeking a collaborative motivated and values-driven individual to join our dynamic team as a Lead Project Risk this position you will lead risk governance for Trans Mountains capital projects portfolio working within the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure effective oversight of project risks. You will combine quantitative risk analysis expertise with strategic advisory capabilities to translate project-level risks into meaningful business insights for executives and senior leaders. The successful candidate will enhance organizational risk processes and partner closely with project teams to facilitate risk reviews and workshops fostering a proactive and consistent riskmanagement culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement in risk processes and champion a proactive risk culture.
  • Deliver training and coaching to build organizational project risk capability.
  • Develop and implement project risk management frameworks standards procedures and tools for Major and Sustaining Capital projects.
  • Designs and continuously improve risk management processes to ensure integration with project planning and governance.
  • Provides direct support to project teams facilitating risk identification workshops quantitative risk analyses (QRAs) reviews and mitigation planning sessions.
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative risk assessments including Monte Carlo simulations for cost and schedule.
  • Translate complex risk data into clear actionable insights and prepare executive-level reports and dashboards for senior leadership.

Qualifications and Professional Experience

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration Finance or Economics Engineering Mathematics / Statistics Data Analytics Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of project risk management experience within major capital projects (oil & gas preferred).
  • PMIRMP (risk management professional) PMP CAPM or equivalent professional designation strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with risk tools such as @Risk Safran Risk Primavera Risk Analysis Acumen Fuse/Risk is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of project controls cost/schedule integration and stage-gate governance.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative risk analysis with strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills including experience engaging with senior leaders and executives.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage complexity ambiguity and shifting priorities and meet deadlines in fastpaced environments.
  • Highly organized detailoriented adaptable and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency in methods and work products.
  • Commitment to inclusive practices and a willingness to contribute positively to a supportive engaging and dynamic workplace culture.

Working Conditions

  • Willingness and ability to travel to field locations as required.
  • May need to provide support outside of regular business hours during critical project phases.
