We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated First Aid Tutor to join our training team in Blenheim New Zealand. As a First Aid Tutor you will deliver engaging and high-quality first aid training courses to both corporate clients and members of the general public.

  • Deliver comprehensive first aid training courses to diverse audiences ensuring content is engaging accessible and results-driven
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support skill development and confidence building
  • Maintain detailed records of course attendance learner performance and training outcomes
  • Collaborate with colleagues and organisational leadership to continuously improve training delivery and course content
  • Stay current with first aid protocols best practices and relevant regulatory requirements through ongoing professional development
  • Provide exceptional customer service to course participants and corporate clients addressing questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy

This is a permanent part-time position working 20 hours/week. Travel within the Blenheim region will be as needed to deliver training at client locations.

We deliver courses 7 days a week so although not regular some weekend work is necessary. Your days can be long so you will need to be available outside of a usual 9-5 day. We ensure you are given rostered days/hours off to compensate for any additional hours.

Your hard work will be rewarded by a great starting salary of $62944 with an increase once signed off to teach independently to $64504. Qualifications :

Ko wai koe - About you:

  • Ideally experience in adult education workshop facilitation or training delivery
  • Full drivers license with confidence and reliability on the road
  • Current valid First Aid certification/qualification (or willingness to obtain immediately upon hire)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with and motivate people from all backgrounds and experience levels
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engagingly
  • Outstanding organisational and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work outside standard business hours when required
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and commitment to completing relevant adult education qualifications
  • Strong commitment to inclusive supportive and empathetic teaching practices
