Reporting to the Depot Manager the Stock and Systems Manager will manage day to day responsibility for the Stock Control department. The warehouse operation delivers high levels of service for a brand market leader. You will maximize site operational integrity by providing a strong ethos of leadership and colleague engagement having complete understanding of the operation and closely managing customer and operational requirements and ensuring that a variety of challenging KPIs are consistently achieved.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 40 hour week
Key Duties of a Stock and Systems Manager:
- Maintaining processes to promote stock integrity.
- Supporting the operations team to achieve product batch integrity
- Investigating all stock related discrepancies adjusting stock levels where applicable and providing trend analysis for the same.
- Working closely with the operations team at all levels to drive continuous improvement in terms of stock accuracy.
- Ensuring processes and reporting meet both the customers daily needs and contractually agreed targets.
- Performing stock checks as per customers requirements and management of any internal or external audit requests.
- Sponsoring training and development for the stock team.
- Maintaining pick and reserve location requirements to match the sales activity throughputs.
- Suggesting updates and changing the system as appropriate for the quality system to remain relevant.
- Creating and maintaining an environment that encourages employee participation and effective team working.
- Ensuring employees are involved in the success of the operation through continual feedback and positive communication
- Promoting high standards of hygiene and housekeeping and ensuring compliance to all legislative Health requirements
- Understanding and working within the standards required within the Quality Management System.
Qualifications :
- Experience of managing or working within a stock and process team environment is desirable.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
- Able to manage their own time and that of a small team to achieve daily targets.
- Able to demonstrate an in depth knowledge of on-site warehouse management systems and procedures
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills and tenacity.
- Must have experience of working within a fast moving warehouse environment and adhere to tight deadlines.
- Able to analyse and understand complex data.
- Able to demonstrate a flexible approach to work including weekends and out of hours as required.
- Candidate must be proactive in their approach to work and be able to prioritise a changing and fast moving workload.
- Be self-assured and confident when representing the company and be forward thinking in their approach.
