HSBC Qianhai Securities Limited (HSBC Qianhai) a joint venture securities company was incorporated on 28 August 2017 pursuant to Supplementary Agreement X to the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangements (CEPA) between the mainland and Hong Kong.

The registered capital of HSBC Qianhai is RMB1.8 billion. The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) holds 90% of the shares while Qianhai Financial Holdings Co. Ltd. (QFH) holds the remaining 10%. Our headquarters are located in Qianhai Shenzhen. We have branch offices in Beijing and Shanghai and a trading outlet in Qianhai Shenzhen.

Job description:

  • Assist in the origination and execution of equity capital markets transactions including IPO Follow-on offerings private placements block trades and other equity-linked products.
  • Assist in preparing ECM market updates product deep-dive materials and regulatory / policy analysis related to equity issuance and capital market developments.
  • Develop client-facing materials such as pitchbooks equity raise proposals marketing plan investor targeting strategy and investor profiles etc.
  • Conduct market and transaction analysis including comparable deal analysis pricing trends market conditions etc.
  • Maintain and update transaction database market statistics and investor feedback record to support deal execution and origination efforts.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including coverage bankers syndicate desks sales legal and compliance quality control teams to ensure smooth deal execution; act as an integral part of the engagement team.
  • Understand follow and demonstrate full compliance with all relevant internal and external regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of HSBC also in line withthe Code of Conduct.
  • Conduct and support ad hoc projects where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Investment Banking Equity Capital Markets Corporate Finance or related fields (strong internships will also be considered).
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical written communication skills both in Chinese and English.
  • Ability to work under pressure manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • A solid understanding of the financial markets especially equity capital market; strong interest in capital market is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Bloomberg and Factset.
  • Highly motivated detail and result-oriented demonstrates a commitment to learning new capabilities and proactively seeks more or different assignments to accelerate learning.
  • Fluent in Mandarin & English both written and spoken.
