About the Youth Health Clinic
Eachs Youth Health Clinic is part of our Youth Mental Health Stream delivering integrated clinical services within headspace centres schools and community partners. We work alongside young people aged 1225 supporting their mental health primary health and overall wellbeing. Our teams champion equity cultural safety and personcentred care ensuring young people feel heard respected and supported.
Your role your impact
As a Youth Mental Health Nurse you will play a key role in delivering high-quality evidence-based primary health care in partnership with GPs headspace staff local schools and other youth-focused services. You will help young people navigate physical mental and sexual health concerns including alcohol and other drugs (AOD) support ensuring holistic youth-friendly care.
You will:
- Provide therapeutic engagement assessment and ongoing support to young people aged 1225
- Deliver clinical services across our headspace GP Clinics and Doctors in Secondary Schools program
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments including mental state exams risk assessments and HEADDs assessments
- Collaborate with GPs school wellbeing teams and external services to develop integrated care plans
- Offer clinical education health promotion and referrals for issues such as AOD sexual health mental health and physical wellbeing
- Maintain accurate timely clinical documentation and contribute to service reporting
About you
Youre a compassionate skilled nurse who enjoys working alongside young people and community partners.
You have:
- Registration as a Division 1 Nurse with AHPRA
- Post-graduate qualifications in Mental Health Nursing
- Experience working with young people experiencing mental health concerns
- Clinical skills across physical sexual and mental health including AOD
- Strong engagement skills with young people and families
- Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- High level of computer literacy and ability to work with EMR systems
- Unrestricted drivers licence

- Postgraduate qualifications in adolescent health sexual and reproductive health or mental health
- Experience working in youth community health or schoolbased settings
- Confidence working across diverse communities and systems
- Experience in general practice or youth mental health settings
