In this role youll take on facility and technical projects that have a direct impact on our logistics operations. With a great deal of freedom and responsibility youll help elevate our warehouses in Venlo and Maastricht to the next level.

Because you dont watch from the sidelines but take the lead yourself on projects that help move our logistics operations forward. Whether youre transforming an entire warehouse for a new customer or implementing an innovative solution. You make the difference from idea to execution:youre on it.

How you do this As a project specialist facility youll take on technical and facility related projects within our warehouses in Venlo and Maastricht. Whether its setting up a new building overseeing a relocation installing a waste compactor or inspecting fire safety systems you handle it from start to finish. Youll draw up project plans and quotations coordinate with suppliers and internal departments and ensure everything is carried out on time within budget and in accordance with laws and regulations.

Youll frequently be on-site and understand whats required in a dynamic logistics environment. Thanks to your technical insight knowledge of installations and awareness of logistics processes youre able to give targeted advice to the operation. Youll also contribute ideas to further develop our facility processes such as implementing a new FMIS system and updating building achieve this by:

• drafting project plans and quotations and discussing these with operations and project teams;
• selecting suppliers requesting and assessing specifications and quotations and offering technical advice;
• overseeing project execution on-site including safety fire protection layout and installations.

Your team stands out within DSV byits open and collegial atmosphere where freedom and responsibility are key. Youll work closely with the facility manager and a colleague Project Specialist so theres always someone to brainstorm ideas or tackle challenges with. The team meets weekly to align and discuss plans after which youll have the autonomy to shape and drive your own projects.

You bring

• higher professional education (HBO) level with an affinity for technology installations or engineering;
• knowledge of or experience with NEN standards ISO certification HVAC systems and/or fire safety installations;
• the flexibility to be regularly on-site and to collaborate across various levels of the organisation;
• proficiency in both Dutch and English.
