Are you ready to revolutionize the future of snacking We are seeking a visionary professional to spearhead the development and deployment of cutting-edge nutrition strategies for iconic brands such as belVita CLIF BAR Good Thins and Triscuit across the United States and Canada.

In this high-impact role you will be instrumental in championing our mindful snacking strategy significantly expanding our Better For You (BFY) portfolio. This involves masterminding breakthrough innovations and renovations that not only enhance the nutritional and ingredient profiles of our products but are also rooted in robust nutritional science and meticulous regulatory foresight.

You will collaborate expansively with diverse functional groups within Mondelēz International and external organizations translating complex scientific insights into tangible product advancements. Leveraging your expertise in scientific and regulatory affairs you will ensure our strategies are compliant with evolving

standards and set new benchmarks for responsible product development.

Beyond product innovation you will craft credible scientifically validated brand communications ensuring accuracy and adherence to all regulatory guidelines. Furthermore your strategic input will be critical in driving our food and nutrition policy advocacy efforts proactively shaping the regulatory landscape and solidifying our commitment to public health. How you will contribute

As the Sr. Manager Nutrition & Scientific Affairs leader you will offer strategic direction and nutrition thought leadership for our mindful snacking strategy in North America (NA) inspiring product renovations and innovations. Working with regulatory and scientific affairs marketing consumer insights nutrition research and legal you will promote nutrition and wellbeing messages and support the development and substantiation of science-backed claims used across media (packaging advertising websites recipes materials for health professionals etc.).

In this role you will lead internal nutrition education programs to increase employee knowledge and implement external health professional outreach programs and nutrition conference strategies to inspire BFY brand recommendations. Leveraging your understanding of nutrition science and public health and partnering with key functions like scientific affairs and corporate and government affairs you will inform the companys external food and nutrition policy advocacy strategy and efforts. You will also represent the companys business interests by participating in strategic external industry groups and scientific organizations. As a member of the NSC leadership team you will direct a team of nutrition professionals (onsite and remote) and elevate the visibility and role of NSC as a respected sought out partner across the NA business.

What you will bring

A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:

  • Registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN)
  • Nutrition expert with deep experience in nutrition science communications policy and issues management in the US and preferably in food industry
  • Translating nutrition insights and scientific research into relevant messages and credible claims
  • Possessing excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to convey complex nutrition concepts in a clear concise and compelling manner
  • Influencing senior cross-functional partners and external bodies
  • Managing and coaching people including building strong teams growing individuals and setting and managing professional development plans for a diverse team
  • Handling complexity working with cross country/category teams working with internal and external stakeholders and working on multiple high-profile projects in a dynamic environment

Education / Certifications:

RDN preferred; MBA MS or PhD in nutrition or a related field is preferred

Job specific requirements:

  • 15 years of experience in nutrition and people management experience working in or within the food or beverage industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders is required.
  • Experience interpreting and applying nutrition regulations and policy frameworks.
  • Experience supporting or influencing nutrition related public policy trade associations initiatives or regulatory submissions

Travel requirements:

10-20%

Work schedule:

Onsite role based in East Hanover NJ with a hybrid schedule of three days per week in the office. Washington DC (considered)

Salary and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $137300 to $188825; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience skills education and addition to base salary this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.

In addition Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance wellness and family support programs life and disability insurance retirement savings plans paid leave programs education related programs paid holidays and vacation time. Some of these benefits have eligibility requirements. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.

Salary and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $140300 to $192940; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience skills education and addition to base salary this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
