Job Summary

The Facility Coordinator is responsible for overseeing coordinating and monitoring the condition maintenance and improvement of Roadway Repair and Maintenance (RRM) facilities across all five boroughs. This role serves as a key liaison between the RRM Division and the DOT Facilities Division ensuring that facility-related projects renovations and maintenance needs are prioritized tracked and communicated effectively. The position requires strong organizational skills field coordination and the ability to provide executive-level updates to RRM leadership.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
-Monitor the operational condition of 25 RRM facilities across the five boroughs.
-Conduct regular site visits to assess facility conditions safety concerns and operational needs.
-Meet with facility managers and supervisory staff to identify maintenance issues infrastructure needs and potential improvements.
-Maintain accurate records of facility conditions inspections and ongoing issues.
-Track the status of multiple concurrent projects ensuring timelines scopes and priorities align with RRM operational needs.
-Assist in identifying short-term repairs and long-term capital improvement opportunities.
-Serve as the primary point of contact between RRM and DOT Facilities for facility-related matters.
-Prepare and deliver executive-level summaries and briefings to RRM leadership on project progress facility conditions risks and upcoming needs.
-Translate technical or field-level information into clear concise updates for senior management.
-Escalate urgent facility or safety concerns to appropriate leadership and partner divisions.
-Support the development of standardized processes for facility inspections reporting and follow-up.
-Assist leadership with data collection and analysis related to facility performance and maintenance trends.
-Serve as the primary point of contact between RRM and DOT Facilities for security-related matters. Observe evaluate and make recommendations to ensure the elimination of loss damage and/or misuse of property equipment vehicles tools; as well as the safeguarding of staff; suggest fencing gates electronic access locks alarm systems surveillance cameras cages and security guards.

ASSOCIATE PROJECT MANAGER - 22427


Qualifications :

One year of full-time satisfactory experience in supervising employees performing project management work such as planning administering managing coordinating or expediting on engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects or supervising a construction project with a value of $or more and either:

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering engineering technology architecture landscape architecture architectural technology construction construction management construction technology sustainable design urban planning urban studies city planning transportation planning business administration or public administration and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work such as planning administering managing coordinating or expediting for engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects; or

2. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of experience as described in 1 above; or

3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent plus any combination of college or university education and/or experience described in 1 above to make up the equivalent of five years of education and experience. One year of experience credit will be given for: (a) each 30 semester credits of college or university education leading to a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in engineering engineering technology architecture landscape architecture architectural technology construction construction management construction technology sustainable design urban planning urban studies city planning transportation planning business administration or public administration; (b) a Masters degree from an accredited college or university in one of the disciplines described in 1 above; (c) a Juris Doctor degree or (d) a valid New York State license as a Professional Engineer Registered Architect or Registered Landscape Architect. Where experience which is primarily of a design nature is not acceptable towards meeting the qualification requirements.

In addition to meeting the qualification requirements for Assignment Level I candidates must have at least one additional year of experience as described in 1 above in a supervisory capacity or have served for at least one year as a project manager for a large and/or complex construction project.
