In anticipation of appropriate enrolment numbers we invite applications for temporary ELL and Activity Teacher positions within the International Student Program Summer Programs:

A. English Language Experience Program: July 2 - July 24

B. Academic Preparation Program: July 27 - August 21

Preferred qualifications:

• ESL certification

• Experience teaching ELL to teens at various levels of English language competency

• Ability to deliver instruction to groups where there will be varying levels of English language competency

• An understanding of and ability to deliver activity based ELL

• A knowledge of and/or experience with different cultures

• Experience teaching secondary English/Communication

• A flexible nature and one who demonstrates empathy to the integration issues faced by international students

• Experience in planning coordinating and leading outdoor recreation programs/activities

Other requirements:

• A valid Class 4 Drivers license and ability/willingness to transport students to/from activities

Program days are typically 8:30am-4:30pm with some extended days due to the nature of the field trip/activity.

The successful applicant(s) may teach both programs and prep time will be provided for each position.
