Your opportunity

Queensland Rail is seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist to join our growing team on apermanent full-time position at our Brisbane location.As aSenior Data Scientist you will through the application of analytical processes stakeholder management and research skills; participate and lead the development of Asset Management Analytics that directly and positively impact on Organisational KPIs.

Overview of responsibilities:

Provision of regular reporting to meet contractual obligations.
Conduct adhoc analysis of asset performance to support operational engineering and maintenance decisionmaking.
Development of degradation models for suitable asset classes.
Deliver clear expert interpretation of complex asset data to inform asset strategies and riskbased maintenance planning.

We are looking for you to bring:

Advanced technical expertise in data analysis statistical and machinelearning modelling and the use of modern data tools to deliver highquality actionable insights.
stakeholder engagement experience.
the ability to work autonomously and within the team.
asset management experience (well bring the rail knowledge).
experience with data engineering.
experience with R Python and SQL is desirable.
a positive solution focused approach.
