Security Officer Perimeter Patrol

As a Security Officer Perimeter Patrol in Ridgeland SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas perform routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will support access points as needed document observations and communicate clearly with staff visitors and your team. Guided by our agile reliable and innovative approach you will deliver through teamwork while always acting with integrity.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures access control requirements and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation requesting assistance and coordinating with on-site personnel and/or public responders as directed.
• Monitor entrances controlled areas and common spaces; verify identification and/or authorization when required; and document entries exits and unusual activity per post orders.
• Complete timely reports such as incident logs patrol reports and shift activity summaries and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1 years armed security law enforcement and/or military experience.
• Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
