Job TITLE: Area Sales Manager - Richmond

OBJECTIVE: To oversee the development of the Richmond VA sales team while successfully growing the sales and distribution of the product portfolio.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Supervise and direct assigned Sales Representatives and Merchandisers to ensure the greatest possible sales and distribution of products ensure market share growth and maintain morale and motivation.

- Develop rapport with assigned customer base and promote the good will of the Company including direct relationships with key buyers and district managers through time spent at the account level

- Maintain outstanding supplier relationships for all Specialty brands in the territory

- Work with the Sales Reps and supplier partners to implement and execute the marketing strategies of the Company including regular account level promotions and occasional special events within the territory

- Execute and track monthly sales goals as related to the sales teams PFP and incentive programs

- Provide route coverage where necessary

- Recruitment selection and training of the sales force

- Demonstrate a high-level of aptitude for beer industry and beer product knowledge as well as strict observance and compliance to all laws and regulations governing the sale of alcoholic beverages

- Direct Sales Rep and Merchandiser teams to ensure all product is sold within its shelf life and administered in a way that grows total company business

- Ensure proper merchandising of accounts with permanent and paper POS

- Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelors degree with an emphasis in business marketing sales or management

- 2-4 years experience in consumer package goods sales

- 1-2 year previous management experience

- Excellent oral and written communications skills

- Certified Beer Server

- Proficient computer and technology skills

- Valid and clean drivers license with active auto insurance

- Proven leadership organizational and interpersonal skills
