Location:
Onsite- Abilene TX
Pay Rate:
$19.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and service-driven Customer Solutions Representative to support workforce services within a high-impact Career Center environment. This role plays a critical part in connecting job seekers to employment opportunities community resources and career advancement tools.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced customer-facing setting and is passionate about guiding individuals toward meaningful employment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers by phone virtually and in person to assess employment goals and service needs
  • Assist job seekers transitioning into new employment opportunities
  • Review job openings and provide referrals to qualified candidates
  • Provide guidance on the local job market employment services educational pathways and community resources
  • Support customers with resume development application completion interview preparation and professional presentation
  • Build cooperative working relationships with internal staff external partners and the public
  • Contribute to Career Center performance goals including customer service standards and follow-up activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve workforce services based on labor market demands
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational objectives

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and individuals with varying communication styles
  • Skilled at managing challenging situations with professionalism and empathy
  • Excellent problem-solving organizational and critical-thinking skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multitask across systems and service programs
  • Comfortable learning and using computer systems word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with leadership coworkers board staff and community partners
  • Knowledge of workforce development programs career counseling services or local labor market trends is preferred

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid drivers license with proof of insurance and good driving record required
  • Minimum six months of relevant experience preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based environment
  • Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds
  • Requires sitting standing walking bending and visual acuity
  • Occasional local travel may be required
  • Flexible hours may be required based on operational needs
