What youll be doing

As our Social Media Content Assistant youll be a hands-on creative force within the Social Content and Influencer team - helping propel us to be the best in the business.

Youll play an active role in the success of our organic social media activity supporting the Social Media Managers and Assistant Social Media Managers with both admin support and content creation.

From creating scroll-stopping content to scheduling posts managing basic community engagement and publishing across platforms youll be at the heart of bringing our social presence to life.

Youll work across multiple channels including TikTok Instagram Facebook and more with one clear goal: enhancing the Boots social media presence and positioning us as leaders in this space.

Key responsibilities

Content Creation & Ideation

• Develop and produce social-first high-quality and on-brand content across platforms (video photography copy graphic design).

• Create self-filmed content - whether thats a skincare routine a vitamins educational video or trend-led content.

• Brainstorm ideas for key social moments from reactive TikTok trends to new brand launches.

• Deliver and produce creative briefs from the wider social and content team meeting deadlines while adding your own creative flair.

• Attend shoots events and brand activities to capture fresh engaging content.

• Stay up-to-date with social media trends and the beauty baby and healthcare industries to ensure we remain best-in-class.

Social Media & Team Support

• Support the delivery of the @BootsUK social calendars across TikTok Facebook Instagram and Threads including stock checking scheduling tagging products and publishing.

• Lead scheduling and publishing during the week including occasional out-of-hours posting.

• Create social content using tools like Canva.

• Order stock for shoots and manage internal stock levels.

• Attend events (sometimes outside of working hours and across the UK) to capture content.

• Compile documents and presentations showcasing social media and content plans for wider business stakeholders.

• Provide key admin support to the Social Media and Content team.

• Support the Influencer team with daily tasks.

• Keep the team informed on industry trends and developments.

What youll need to have (our must-haves)

• A genuine passion for content creation particularly within health and beauty.

• Confidence both behind and in front of the camera.

• Strong proficiency in content creation tools (Adobe Creative Suite CapCut Canva video editing software etc.).

• In-depth understanding of social media platforms trends and best practices.

• Excellent writing editing and proofreading skills with impeccable attention to detail.

• A creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh original ideas.

• Experience creating content for brands.

• Flexibility and agility with working hours and location.

It would be great if you also have

• Experience working within social media teams.

• Basic graphic design skills (e.g. Adobe Photoshop Illustrator Canva).

• A strong awareness of creators and influencers across follower ranges (1000 to).
