Job Summary

Job Title: Automation Tool & Die Specialist
Department: Project Support Group (PSG)
Location: On-Site
Travel: 510% Domestic & International

Position Summary:
Under minimal supervision the Automation Tool & Die Specialist coordinates project workflows and applies advanced mechanical tooling and automation expertise to assemble install debug and support precision tooling and automated systems.This role partners with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver high-precision solutions that meet customer specifications and delivery requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Coordinate and plan assembly shop project workflows to meet delivery schedules.
Assemble troubleshoot and debug precision tooling and automation systems.
Install industrial automation systems and tooling at customer sites.
Perform field service repairs and maintenance on customer equipment.
Determine assembly methods sequences and system integration strategies.
Support controls installation and system debugging.
Participate in project kick-off and product realization meetings.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring.
Provide technical support across engineering manufacturing and development phases.
Collaborate with project teams to resolve design or process challenges.
Conduct proof-of-concept testing for feasibility of new projects.
Maintain organized and safe work area.
Follow company policies safety procedures and all applicable regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Working knowledge of precision machining and grinding processes.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications; SolidWorks preferred.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally (510%).
Must be a U.S citizen and be able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.
Ability to wear required PPE.

Experience & Education:

Minimum 5 years experience in CNC machining grinding or wire EDM environment.
Tool & Die experience preferred.
Automation system assembly experience preferred.
Tool & die assembly experience preferred.
Completion of apprenticeship program or equivalent experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Stand or sit for extended periods (810 hours/day).
Lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted.
Frequent reaching kneeling stooping and manual dexterity tasks.
Ability to wear PPE and work around industrial equipment.

Work Environment:

On-site manufacturing environment.
Exposure to moving machinery and moderate noise levels.
Frequent movement between departments.
