Communications Intern

The Communications Intern will plan coordinate and execute corporate communications with a special focus on media relations internal communications and sports information.

Position Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute internal newsletters and other content highlighting media coverage or key initiatives.

• Research develop and maintain media contact distribution lists.

• Assist the Communications team with development of key messages statements media alerts news releases and website copy as needed.

• Assist with coordination of onsite media interviews.

• Provide communications support for the companys community service programs.

• Identify and apply for awards that reflect IMG Academys excellence in sports education and technology.

• Partner with internal teams to craft and share updates that celebrate team member achievements program milestones and organizational initiatives.

• Support internal engagement efforts by coordinating communications that keep team members coaches and student-athletes informed and connected.

• Assist in collecting and incorporating feedback from internal audiences to enhance communication strategies and strengthen the workplace experience.

• Adhere to all company policies procedures and business ethics codes.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Coursework and/or strong interest in Public Relations Journalism Marketing Communications Business or related field or equivalent experience.

• Knowledge experience and passion for sports.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Demonstrated experience with digital/social content at a professional level.

• Ability to multi-task effectively.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues.
