Job Summary

Role Overview:

We are looking for a mid-level Software Engineer with strong Ruby on Rails experience who actively leverages AI tools to enhance development speed code quality and overall engineering productivity. This role focuses on building scalable applications while using AI-assisted development practices as part of the workflow.

Responsibilities:

Develop high-quality scalable and maintainable applications primarily using Ruby on Rails.
Write clean testable code and unit tests aligned with project quality standards and deadlines.
Actively leverage AI-powered development tools (e.g. AI coding assistants AI-driven debugging automated test generation documentation tools) to improve efficiency and delivery speed.
Apply AI-assisted techniques for code optimization refactoring test coverage improvement and documentation.
Collaborate with clients users and cross-functional teams to gather and refine functional and non-functional requirements.
Use Atlassian Jira and Git to manage tasks track requirements and maintain clean version control practices.
Quickly understand client industries and proactively propose effective scalable solutions.
Continuously explore emerging AI tools and modern engineering practices to improve team productivity.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
35 years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development.
Hands-on experience using AI tools to support software development workflows (e.g. AI coding assistants automated testing tools AI documentation support).
Strong knowledge of HTML CSS and JavaScript (TypeScript CoffeeScript); experience with frameworks such as Angular is a plus.
Proficiency in PostgreSQL MongoDB and Redis.
Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Familiarity with AWS services such as ECS EC2 S3 Route 53 SQS SNS SES etc.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal English).
Independent yet collaborative proactive fast learner and solution-oriented.
Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership experience is a plus.
