Job Summary

Job Title: Operations Manager
Location: Staffordshire

Salary: From 60000 per annum
Employment Type: Permanent

Service: Childrens Residential Services
Service Users: Children and Young People within regulated residential settings

Qualifications Required: Must have Family Assessment Centre experience (essential)
Experience Required: Experience managing residential services and Registered Managers ideally across multiple sites; experience engaging and motivating staff (including remotely)

The Home:
Oversight of two regulated childrens services ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements and organisational policies.

Number of homes: 2 services

Who we are looking for:
Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager who will also act as the Ofsted Registered Responsible Individual for two services. You will provide strategic leadership ensure regulatory compliance and drive high standards of care and safeguarding.

Key responsibilities include:

Acting as the Ofsted Registered Responsible Individual
Ensuring compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 (including Quality Standards) and Regulation 44 inspections
Ensuring homes operate in line with their Statement of Purpose
Preparing managers for Ofsted inspections
Providing formal and informal supervision to Registered Managers
Identifying and supporting professional development and training needs
Ensuring effective safeguarding of young people
Promoting high standards of professional practice
Overseeing performance management and development plans
Ensuring electronic administration systems are accurate and up to date
Promoting health and safety across services
Supporting recruitment induction disciplinary capability and grievance processes
Supporting managers in maintaining home vehicles in line with policy
Participating in meetings projects and organisational initiatives

You will be a strategic thinker with the ability to prioritise effectively manage your own workload and reflect constructively on practice. Strong communication skills and the ability to build professional networks are essential.

Desirable:
Experience managing Learning Disability homes
Experience developing and managing projects
Experience facilitating group supervision approaches
