The Mold Shop Tech maintains repairs and improves production molds to ensure equipment remains production-ready and downtime is minimized.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all in-house molds in production ready condition.
• Schedules mold repairs accordingly to avoid downtime and still produce quality.
• Works closely with Engineering Department on new molds revisions and/or changes to existing molds.
• Maintains safe and clean operations by adhering to safety procedures and company 6S requirements.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needs.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding; industrial technology or welding certification preferred.
• Skilled in detailed mold maintenance and repair with strong craftsmanship.
• Able to safely operate forklifts and various tools/equipment (welders torches hoists hand and power tools gauges PPE).
• Team-oriented with the ability to follow instructions coordinate across departments and multi-task effectively.
